New Honda HR-V 2021 Gray

In Japan, this car made its debut back in February under the name Vezel, but then Honda did not publish all the information, focusing on the photographs. Now there is a variant for the European market, where this crossover is sold under the name Honda HR-V. And in addition, there were details about the car itself. With the change of generation, the crossover has acquired completely different proportions. Instead of the previous kurgozny body - a more muscular and squat silhouette with an elongated hood and a "flatter" roof. All lighting technology is now diode, the mirror mount has been moved from the triangles of the window frames to the door panels. One of the few features left over from the previous model is the hidden rear door handles. However, the size of the wheelbase is the same (2610 mm), and the overall dimensions have changed only slightly: length - 4330 mm, width - 1790 mm. The most noticeable shifts are the reduced height by 20 mm (up to 1590 mm), coupled with the increased ground clearance by 10 mm (now 195 mm). In Europe, the new New Honda HR-V 2021 Gray  Honda HR-V will only have 18 "wheels, although the Japanese Vezel may have 16" wheels. The builders have tried to make the interior more spacious. For this, the layout of the units of the hybrid version has even been changed: the traction battery is now located not under the rear sofa, but under the boot floor, and the gas tank is shifted to the longitudinal axis of the car. The seat mountings are shifted, the thickness of the backs is reduced, so the distance between the rows has increased by 35 mm at once. There is more space in the shoulders, the backrest of the rear sofa is increased by two degrees. Additional ventilation deflectors appeared at the back at the end of the central tunnel. The proprietary Honda system for transforming the rear sofa has also been preserved: the pillows can be folded up, making room for a large vertical load. The trunk threshold has become lower. The quality of finishing materials has been tightened, there are more soft zones on the front panel. The gauges are equipped with an analog speedometer and a seven-inch display, and the media system with a nine-inch touchscreen has a new menu structure and the ability to update "over the air". A complex of electronic assistants Honda Sensing with a front camera is installed: it includes adaptive cruise control, a lane keeping system and other assistants. In the Japanese market, the Honda Vezel may be in a purely gasoline variant, but the European Honda HR-V is the uncontested hybrid. The e: HEV system is designed in the same way as other gasoline-electric models of the company. It includes a four-cylinder aspirated 1.5 (106 hp, 127 Nm), which has a geometric compression ratio of 13.5: 1 and operates on the Atkinson economy cycle. And two electric motors work together with it. One is connected to the internal combustion engine and operates in the generator mode, and the second rotates the wheels. Its output is 131 hp. and 253 Nm. Most of the time, such a hybrid moves precisely on electric traction (the internal combustion engine drives only the generator) and only at high speed, when the efficiency of the electric motor drops, the clutch connects the gasoline engine directly to the wheels. There is no gearbox here. Hybrid crossover Honda HR-V can be ordered with both front and all-wheel drive. Moreover, in the second case, a traditional 4x4 transmission with a propeller shaft and a rear axle coupling is installed. Front-wheel drive versions have a semi-independent rear suspension, while all-wheel drive versions have a De-Dion circuit with a stabilizer. And the Honda HR-V, for the first time, has found the Hill Descent Assist system, which works at speeds of 3 km / h. New crossovers will be delivered to Europe from Japan, because this year Honda will completely curtail production in the Old World. The start of sales is scheduled for this fall. In the meantime, a purely electric modification is planned in the HR-V / Vezel family. Such a crossover was shown at the Shanghai Motor Show, but so far only in the form of a concept called Honda SUV e: Prototype. It differs from the serial car in a different design of the front end and an additional body kit. There are no details about the technique yet. The production version will only appear in the spring of 2022 and will be the first electric Honda in the Chinese market. You must be logged in to post a comment.
